About ABP

The Alliance of Beauty Practitioners is a not-for-profit organisation and part of Registered Charity Foundation Fourteen-A Ltd. (Please follow this link to learn more about the Foundation 14a website). We have been specifically developed by Beauty Therapists for Beauty Therapists.

Our aim is simple. We want to raise standards.

The Alliance of Beauty Practitioners is the passion project of Founder and Director Siân Llewellyn. After being in the beauty industry for decades, Siân believes it is high time that an authority, to which all practitioners and businesses are accountable, should be set up.

For many years, we have campaigned for our industry to be regulated, but it seems that we are still a long way from UK-wide mandatory licensing. We have all seen over the years how our industry has been plagued by poor standards, low-quality online courses, and certificates that are often worthless. The Alliance of Beauty Practitioners wanted to change this, with accredited, professional training standards, and with your help, we absolutely can.
